TT05
Description
The Troubleshooting Tree 05 indicates that there is a
motor signal communication issue that may cause the
system to go in warning or error mode. In error mode,
the system will cease operation.
Motor communication that may be the cause the
system to go in warning or error mode are:
1. Motor temperature sensors signals.
2. Resolver signals.
3. Motor EEPROM signal.
The resistance measurements of the motor internal
resistances may not be aligned as per Motor internal
resistance measurement table. The motor should be
considered defective.
The loss of integrity of the motor sensor connector on
the MCU leads to consider defective MCU.
Note : If the motor is a Dana TM4 motor, then the
expected values of the measurements should as per
the Motor internal resistance measurement table. If
the motor is not a Dana TM4 motor, then the
measurements may be different. In that case, refer to
your motor specification.
Note : Refer to the TM4 motor installation guide for
more details on installation and deinstallation
procedure including safety warning considerations.
To correctly diagnose the faulty system, connect the
Diagnostic Tool (see «Diagnostics» section for test
equipment and descriptions) and follow the
Troubleshooting Tree procedure below.
