Is the measured
voltage 0V ?
Is the auxiliary
batteries fuse
burnt ?
No
Inspect the auxiliary
batteries fuse.
Defective VMU/ECU interface
harness connector causing an
open circuit from Vaux
battery
Replace / repair harness.
Is there any evidence of
a short circuit
within harness ?
Yes
Defective VMU/ECU interface
harness.
Replace / repair harness.
Reconnect VMU interface
connector on the MCU.
Replace fuse.
Reconnect Vehicle
Management Unit (VMU)
interface connector on the
MCU.
Investigate the 12 V / 24V board net for
:
- Defective system causing short circuits
on the auxiliary lines,
- Defective system causing high load on
the network.
With a mutilmeter, measure the voltage between the
following pins in the VMU/ECU interface harness
connector.
Interface connector Type 1

Pin E or F
(Vaux +)
Pin L or M
(Vaux -)
Interface Connector Type 2
Connector pin Connector pin
Pin 8 or 15
(Vaux +)
Pin 22 or 23
(Vaux -)
With a mutilmeter, measure the resistance between
the following pins in the VMU/ECU interface harness
connector.

Switch OFF the

Disconnect VMU
interface connector
from the MCU.
Switch ON the auxiliary
batteries switch.
