Voice Station (5)
You can activate the Voice Station for 2-way voice function (i.e. listen
and talk) either from a local or remote phone or from a keypad.
Using the telephone you can talk or listen to sounds in the vicinity to
determine if there is any real intrusion, or in the case of medical
emergency. This is a two way full duplex intercom mode.
If there are more than 1 keypad on the premises, you will be asked to
select one of them to intercom.
Select Station 1 to (maximum)
At any time during the Voice Station Mode, you may press the Keypad
number (1 to 4) to select another Keypad (except the one you are
using!).
Press # to end the Voice Station mode, and return to the previous menu.
Using the keypad , the action of the Voice Station menu is different - it
is puts the keypad into a listening mode so that ot can be used as a
baby monitor . Select the other keypad number to listen to. This turns
on the microphone on the other keypad so sounds on the keypad can be
heard on the first keypad. The MIC red LED on the other keypad will be
turned on. The system will remain in intercom mode until the F key is
pressed on either keypad or an announcement like “Doorbell” is
reqquired, or an alarm occurs which terminates the intercom. This
monitor mode is one way only, the originating keypad is unable to talk to
the other keypad.
Door Station (6)
If the Door Station is installed, you can access the Door Station even
when no one has pressed the doorbell, by pressing 6 for Door Station
from the Main Menu. If there is only one Door Station installed, you will
hear the Door Station
Press 0 for Door Station
(4 to Open Gate)
(7 to Open Door)
Press # to end
Press 0 will allow you to talk to the visitor on the Door Station. You may
even open the door if you have an electric strike installed.
If your system has been configured to allow you to open the door or
gate, the menu “4 to open Gate” and/or “7 to open Door “ will be heard.
