6.3. Tunnel Ventilation
6.3.1. Transition between Sidewall
and Tunnel Ventilation
The transition from sidewall to tunnel ven-
tilation creates a smooth passage from one
ventilation mode to the other. During the
transition, the controller can open the curtain
and activate some tunnel fan groups while
regular fan groups are used. Meanwhile, vent
doors open continuously until they reach their
maximum opening.
The transition ends when the room tem-
perature reaches the start temperature of
the tunnel fan group that causes the closure
of vent doors; the tunnel ventilation mode is
fully used at that moment and the controller
starts using the tunnel ventilation’s static
pressure set points and alarm limits.
