3.6.1 LAN IP & DHCP Server 

This section allows you to assign a private IP address to the Residential Gateway and to configure 

the DHCP server function of the Residential Gateway. LAN IP is an IP address which the 

Residential Gateway has on the private network. DHCP Server enables the Residential Gateway 

to assign IP addresses to the hosts on the private network. Below is the description of the 

configuration parameters for this function.

Specify  the  private  IP  address  of  the  Residential  Gateway  in  the  text 

boxes. 

 

Subnet Mask

Select a subnet mask from the pull-down menu. The subnet mask and 

the private IP address will determine the private network of the Residential Gateway.
