The remote carbonator water pump water inlet strainer screen and liquid double check valve must be inspected
and serviced as described in preceding WARNING note. Refer to manual provided with carbonator for servicing
procedure.
NO. 3 DISPENSING VALVE CONVERSION FROM STILL (NON-CARBONATED) TO
CARBONATED DRINK
(see Figures 2 and 3)
UNIT NEW INSTALLATION
Unit plain water inlet line must be connected to capped tee fitting on end of Unit carbonated water inlet line to
dispense a carbonated drink from No. 3 dispensing valve.
UNIT ALREADY IN SERVICE
1. Unplug remote carbonator power cord from electrical outlet.
2. Close plain water inlet supply and CO
2
source shutoff valves.
3. Relieve pressure on carbonated water system by pulling up on carbonator tank relief valve.
4. Disconnect Unit plain water inlet line from plain water source line. Cap plain water source line.
5. Connect Unit plain water inlet line to capped tee fitting on Unit carbonated water inlet line.
6. Open remote carbonator CO
2
source shutoff valve, then open water inlet supply line shutoff valve.
7. Plug remote carbonator power cord into electrical outlet.
8. Open No. 3 dispensing valve and dispense until carbonated water is dispensed.

GAS CHECK VALVES
(see Figures 2 and 6)
Note: The CO Gas Check Valve shown in Figure 6 is not a component part of the Spirit Dispenser. It is
supplied with the Installation Kit and is shown here because it is important that the check valve be
cleaned periodically.
The CO
2
gas check valves must be inspected and serviced at least once a year under normal conditions and
after any servicing or disruption of CO
2
system. ALWAYS REPLACE QUAD RING SEAL EACH TIME CO
2
GAS
