Buttermilk Fried Chicken
Servings: 4
Ingredients
1⁄2 frying chicken, cut in pieces, rinsed, dried
1⁄4 cup buttermilk
2 cups crushed corn flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon thyme
1⁄2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
sprayer filled with olive oil
Directions
Soak the chicken pieces in buttermilk 1 hour to overnight.
Combine the corn flake crumbs, thyme, crushed pepper flakes, garlic powder and salt.
Place the Dual Rack (in low position) into the air fryer.
Press the chicken pieces into the corn flake crumbs.
Place chicken pieces on the rack.
Spray with olive oil.
Lower the lid. Set temperature to 410°, and set timer for 30 minutes.
Turn the chicken after 15 minutes.
