If applicable, remove all terminating jumpers from third-party SCSI
devices (Compaq SCSI cables are terminated).

NOTE:

Using a non-Ultra3 drive impacts the SCSI bus performance of the ProLiant ML330

Generation 2 server.

Slide the drive into the drive bay

, and then secure with two screws on

each side of the drive compartment

Figure 3-6. Installing a 3.5-inch hard drive

Slide the drive compartment back into the chassis, and then replace the
three shipping screws.

Connect the power and data cables to the back of all devices. See
Chapter 4, “Cabling Guidelines,” for cabling information specific to
your server model.

Replace the access panel and the front bezel.
