The ACU also has a LAN connector at the front to access the service port from the ACU
front panel.

iDirect X7 Modem

The iDirect X7 Modem is the modem in the system. The modem is not supplied by Cobham
SATCOM. The modem has the following interfaces and connectors:

• GND

• 100-240 VAC power connector

• 8 LAN ports, one to ACU

• RS-422 interface BUC I/O

• RS-232 Console for modem control

• Tx Out (F-connector)

• RX1 and RX2 (RX 2 not used) (F connector)

Service activation

Before you can start using the SAILOR 600 VSAT Ka, you need to activate the system for
the Ka service. Contact your service provider for activation.
