Blanking Panel for AC Power-Fan Module Slot
Removing an AC Power-Fan Module
Caution
Never place your hand inside an empty AC power-fan module bay or anywhere inside the
Cisco SFS 3504 Server Switch.
To remove the AC power-fan module, perform the following steps:
Step 1
Ground yourself using an approved ground wrist strap.
Step 2
Remove the power cord from the power supply.
Step 3
Unfasten the two captive screws, using a Phillips or straight-slot screwdriver.
Step 4
Hold the pull handle, and slide the AC power-fan module out of the chassis.
Step 5
Either replace the module immediately or secure a blanking panel to the empty bay to ensure appropriate
cooling.
Caution
Never operate the Cisco SFS 3504 Server Switch with a vacant AC power-fan module slot.
