Introduction
The Cisco SFS 3504 Server Switch is a next generation gateway chassis that offers gateway slots with
high performance and high port count gateway line cards. It supports DDR, 24 4xDDR (20 Gbps), switch
and backplane IB ports. The server switch enables IB networks to connect to Ethernet and Fibre Channel
networks.
The following general features describe the Cisco SFS 3504 Server Switch:
•
4U chassis that is 17 inches x 6.9 inches x 23 inches
•
Supports one IB switch card
•
Supports four gateway slots with up to three 4xDDR (20 Gbps) links (all current gateways only use
two 20 Gbps links)
•
Supports dual, hot-swappable redundant AC-DC power supply and fan module
•
Supports the Cisco Embedded Subnet Manager
•
Compatible with the CLI, the SFS OS Element Manager, and the SFS OS Chassis Manager
