Chapter 4 Installing and Removing Field-Replaceable Units

InfiniBand Switch Card

Installing an InfiniBand Switch Card

To install an IB switch card, perform the following steps:

Step 1

Ground yourself using an approved ground wrist strap.

Step 2

Remove the switch card from any packaging.

Step 3

Extend the ejector levers on either side of the switch card completely.

Step 4

Insert the switch card all the way into slot 5.

Figure 4-1

for orientation of the module.

Step 5

Press the switch card firmly into the slot.
