The heater mode directs
most of the airflow through
the floor outlets, with some
air going to the windshield
and side window defroster
outlets.
This mode divides airflow
equally between the wind-
shield defroster outlets and
the floor outlets.
A small amount of air will
also be directed toward the
side windows.
Recirculation
Press the recirculation button to
recirculate the air in your vehicle.
This is useful for keeping dust and
odors out or when quick heating
or cooling is desired.
The indicator light will appear on
the display.
Press the button again to turn
off the recirculation feature and
circulate outside air into your
vehicle.
Using the recirculation setting for
an extended period of time may
cause the windows to fog up. If
this happens, return to outside air
mode.

CAUTION
Using the recirculation setting
for an extended period of time
can make you sleepy. If this
happens, bring in fresh air by
returning to outside air mode.
A/C Compressor
Press the A/C button
�
to turn the
air conditioning compressor on.
The indicator light will appear on
the display.
Press
�
again to turn the
compressor off.
If the system is operating in the
automatic mode when this button
is pressed, the system will be
forced out of the automatic mode.
You may notice water drip under
the engine sometimes after driving
with air conditioning on. This is
normal because your cooling
system removes moisture from the
air.
Because the compressor of the
cooling system shares the engine
power, you may notice a slight
change in engine power and
performance when the
compressor operates.
NOTICE
Using your air conditioning
system while driving up long
hills or in heavy traffic can cause
the engine to overheat.
Check the engine coolant
If the engine is overheating,
turn the air conditioning
compressor off.
