Central Locking System
(If equipped)
If your vehicle is equipped with the
central locking system, you may
lock or unlock all the doors at
once.
To use this feature, do any of the
following:
• From the outside, use your key
to lock or unlock the driver's
door.
• From the outside, you may
also use your keyless entry
transmitter (if equipped) to
lock or unlock the doors.
• From the inside, use the
manual door lock on the
driver’s door.
Rear Door Security Lock
The rear doors are equipped
with locks that help prevent
passengers, especially children,
from opening the rear doors from
inside.
When the security lock is engaged,
you can unlock the door from the
inside. But the door can only be
opened from the outside.
The locks are located on the edge
of each rear door.
The door must be open to access
the lock lever.
Move the lever on each rear door
to the locked position to lock the
doors.
To unlock them, open each rear
door from the outside and push
the lever in the opposite direction.
NOTICE
Do not pull the inside door
handle when the child security
door lock is set to the lock
position. This can damage the
inside door handle.

REAR CARGO AREA
Trunk Release (Sedan Only)
CAUTION
It can be very dangerous to
drive with the trunk open.
Carbon monoxide (CO) gas can
come into your vehicle. You
cannot see or smell CO. It can
cause unconsciousness and
even death.
If you must drive with it open,
make sure all other windows are
closed and turn the fan on to
the highest speed using any
setting that brings in outside
air. Doing this will force outside
air into the vehicle.
CAUTION
Be sure the trunk lid does not
hit obstructions, such as a
standing person or wall, when
you open the trunk.
CAUTION
Do not operate the vehicle with
the trunk open.
An open trunk would obstruct
your rear view.
Operating your vehicle with an
obstructed rear view can lead to
a collision resulting in damage
to your vehicle or other proper-
ty, personal injury, or even
death.
CAUTION
Make sure your hands and any
other body parts, as well as
those of other persons, are
completely away from the trunk
closure area.
From the outside, use your key to
unlock the trunk lid.
To close the trunk lid, push it
