15.3.3.5.7 DADF-L1 does not perform paper pick-up operation: Reader controller PCB has poor contact

Description
Since the DADF unit did not perform the paper pick-up operation, connectors of the reader controller PCB were disconnected and then connected.
Cause
Since the connector of the reader controller PCB had poor contact, the PCB failed to transmit commands to the DADF unit, causing the symptom.
Field Remedy
1. Re-fit the connector connecting the copier main body to the DADF-L1.
2. Re-fit J500, J501, J502, J503, and J504 connectors of the reader controller PCB.
3. Re-fit the connector of the ADF controller PCB on the DADF-L1.
4. If the symptom still occurs, replace the ADF controller PCB with a new one.
5. If the symptom still occurs, replace the reader controller PCB with a new one.

15.3.3.5.8 Progress bar stops after it runs 5mm and this machine fails to start: BootROM has poor contact

Description
Since the progress bar stopped after it ran 5mm upon power-on and this machine failed to start, the BootROM was disconnected and re-connected for solution.
Cause
Since the BootROM had poor contact, this machine failed to load software from the BootROM, ultimately failing to start.
Field Remedy
1. Clean the terminal of the BootROM with lint-free paper moistened with alcohol, and then connect the BootROM again.
2. If the symptom still occurs, re-fit all the connectors of the main controller PCB.

Description
Since this machine restarted only when it was printing monochrome images, the main controller PCB was replaced with a new one for solution. In this field
case, the symptom did not occur in color printing, copying, and FAX operation.
Cause
Since the faulty main controller PCB created abnormal image data at time of monochrome printing, this machine restarted to protect its system.
Field Remedy
1. Re-fit all the connectors of the main controller PCB.
2. If the symptom still occurs, replace the main controller PCB with a new one.

When installing the Key Switch Unit-A1, the following setting change is required. Follow the steps below:
In service mode [COPIER> Install> KEY], type [1], shut off the control panel switch and turn the power OFF/ON.

Description
Since the fuse (FU701) for the environment heater blew, paper jam and paper curling were not improved in a high temperature and humidity environment
even when the environment heater switch was turned ON.
Field Remedy
1. If paper jam and paper curling are not improved even when the environment heater switch is turned ON, check to see if the fuse for the environment heater
has blown.
2. If the fuse has blown, replace the fuse on the heater switch PCB assembly with a new one.
