Main Configuration Window
The main configuration window provides the controls you use to configure a Bullhorn unit for
service. Most of these controls are common to all Bullhorn unit types, although some controls
differ according to your unit. As an example, Figure 3-2 shows the SDT16-SAT main configuration
window. After you configure a unit, you can use the information on the main configuration window
to monitor input channel readings, battery voltage level, test packet transmission status, and
communications signal strength.

Based on the communication network supported by the unit,
GSM
,
SkyWave
, or
ORBCOMM
displays in the
Communication Settings
group box on the main configuration window.
Two status indicators in the bottom, right hand side of the main configuration window indicate the
current operating status of the unit. From left to right, the first indicator is green and displays
continually when using the UCT software to configure the unit. When you transmit a test packet,
the green indicator begins flashing. If communication cannot be established, this indicator begins
flashing red. The second indicator flashes yellow when the unit transmits data. The third indicator
(black) is not currently used.
Communication Settings
The
Communication Settings
group box shows information related to the digital cellular or satellite
communication network. UCT software displays information based on the communication
network supported by the Bullhorn unit. The GSM, SkyWave, and ORBCOMM logos indicate
which communication network is used for data transmissions to your website account, as shown in
Figure 3-3.
