6.6.5 Changing the Measurement mode of an application
Choose the measurement mode according to the setting for the sample presentation.
See Chapter 6.6.6 "Changing the Sample presentation of an application", page 43
The following measurement modes are available:
Mode Explanation
Diffuse reflection The application runs the measurement in the reflection mode.
Diffuse reflectance measurement mode is used to measure
solid and powdered samples.
Transflection
(up-view instru-
ments only) The application runs the measurement in the transflection
mode.
Transflectance mode is used to measure liquids and gels.
Transflectance mode require the use of a transflection cover.

R The instrument is in administrator mode. See Chapter 6.5 "Log in administrator
mode", page 39
u Navigate to the [Application] menu via the navigation path.
u Tap the function [Edit] on the function bar.

The display highlights the function [Edit] in green.
u Tap the name of the application that you wish to edit.
ð The display highlights the application in green.
u Tap the action [Measurement mode] .
ð The display shows a dialog box with the selectable values.
u Select a value.
u Tap the button [OK] .
ð The dialog box closes.
ð The setting is saved.
6.6.6 Changing the Sample presentation of an application
With Baseline Correction Vector (BCV) Different Sample Presentation modes can be
defined to correct, for example, the effect of sample container on the spectral mea-
surement.
The following presentation modes are available:
Modes Explanation
Default Apply the default settings for baseline correction.
New Calibrate an individual Baseline correction. See Chapter 5.6.3
"Calibrating a Baseline Correction Vector (BCV)", page 24
Individual Baseline
correction Individual calibrated Baseline corrections.
