280 Dauntless

Fuse Blocks and Circuit Breakers

Fuse blocks and circuit breakers are located in the head, the mechanical access hatch, and the console lounge

locker (see Figure 4.8.1 through Figure 4.11.1). If a fuse blows or a circuit breaker trips, determine the cause

of the failure and replace the fuse or reset the breaker lever. If the problem persists, seek the assistance of a

qualified marine electrician.

Should a fuse require replacement, only replace with one of the same amperage as the original. Always carry

spare fuses. If a fuse is replaced with one of lower amperage, it will not be sufficient to carry the electrical

load of the equipment and cause fuse failure or a circuit breaker to trip. If a fuse is replaced with one of higher

amperage, it will not provide adequate protection against an electrical malfunction and create a fire hazard.
