Helm Operation
The anchor windlass is controlled at the helm by two switches on the helm switch panel. The
WNDLS
switch
provides power to the windlass. Push the UP/DWN switch to power the anchor windlass up or down. Make
certain that the anchor lanyard's clevis is detached from the chain and is clear of any moving parts. Once the
anchor and rode is secure in the up position, the clevis can be re-attached to the chain rode.
Remote Operation
The anchor windlass can be operated remotely from the bow with the windlass remote, which is stowed in
the anchor locker. To use:
1. On helm switch panel, press
WNDLS button.
2. To raise anchor, press and hold on
UP
button on remote.
3. To lower the anchor, press and hold on the DOWN button on the remote.
Emergency Handle
If there is a loss of power to the windlass, the anchor can be raised and/or lowered manually with the
emergency handle located in the anchor locker (see Figure 3.37.1).
