need le in the red oversp eed zone of the
gauge.
To p rotec t the engine, the engine
m anagem ent system autom atic ally
interrup ts the fuel sup p ly in this range;
the resulting effec t resem b les that
assoc iated w ith a sud d en loss of
p ow er.

Ind ic ates the c urrent fuel c onsum p tion
in m p g (in liters/ 100 km on Canad ian
vehic les). This allow s you to see
w hether your c urrent d riving style is
c ond uc ive to fuel ec onom y w ith
m inim um exhaust em issions.
When the vehic le is stationary, the
d isp lay goes to "M axim um " (zero on
Canad ian m od els).

When you sw itc h on the ignition, the
ind ic ator lam p c om es on b riefly to
c onfirm that the system is op erational.
If the ind ic ator lam p c om es on and
stays on, there are ap p rox.

of fuel still in the tank.

Certain op erating c ond itions (suc h as
those enc ountered in m ountainous

tuate slightly.
Please refuel early, as d riving to
the last d rop of fuel c an result in
d am age to the engine and / or c atalytic
c onverter.
