The m em ory of ind ivid ual c hannel keys
c annot b e d eleted . How ever, the three
c hannel keys c an b e c leared together
as follow s:
>
Press and hold b oth outsid e keys of
the B M W Universal Transm itter until
the ind ic ator lam p flashes, and then
release them .
All of the c hannel keys are c leared .

Do not use this B M W Universal Trans-
m itter w ith any garage d oor op ener that
lac ks safety "stop " and "reverse"
features as req uired b y fed eral safety
stand ard s (this inc lud es any garage
d oor op ener m od el m anufac tured
b efore Ap ril 1, 1982).
This d evic e c om p lies w ith Sec tion 15 of
the FCC Rules. Op eration is sub jec t to
the follow ing tw o c ond itions: as d efined
in the regulations, this d evic e m ust not
em it harm ful interferenc e, and m ust b e
shield ed against interferenc e from
external sourc es to p revent unautho-
rized or inad vertent ac tivation.
To open
Pull the hand le and the lam p c om es on.
To close
Fold the c over up .
To lock
Use one of the m aster keys. A m aster
key is also req uired for unloc king.
If you turn over only your d oor and
ignition key for valet p arking (refer
to p age 34 ), for exam p le, ac c ess to the
glove c om p artm ent is not p ossib le.
