Evaluate the syslog messages (Level =

debug) and, if applicable, filter out

the IPX packets indicated in the messages as causing unwanted connec-
tions to be set up.

The MIB variable ipxAdmSpxConns shows more connections
than are actually active.

X3200

may not be receiving SPX disconnect messages from the server:

Enter the command

reset router

on the console of the respective serv-

er.

All inactive connections between the server and

X3200

are cleared.

If the disconnect for the client is lost, SPX connections could remain until
timeout. These connections would then be displayed in ipxAdmSpxConns
until timeout.
