to receive faxes, for example.

When a call is received,

X3200

first checks the Called Party Number (CPN) and

the type of call (data or voice call). The CPN is the extension the partner has

dialed to reach

X3200

. Then the call is forwarded to the corresponding service

(see

figure 5-3, page 116
