A DVD+RW type disc cannot be played on other DVD players:
If a recording is too short, it is possible that a standard DVD player will not be able to detect it.
Please observe the following ’Minimum recording times’ when recording DVDs:
Some DVD players cannot playback DVD+RW recordings.
Why is the hard disk capacity displayed by the DVD Recorder different from its nominated
capacity?
This is because hard disk and DVD Recorder calculate the capacity in different ways. As a
result, the nominated capacity is different from the exact capacity displayed by the OS.
Example of a 160GB hard disk:
Exact capacity of a 40GB hard drive displayed in the OS:
160,000,000
÷
1,024
÷
1,024=152.58789 (GB)
Furthermore, DVD Recorder will reserve some space on the hard disk for system files.
Therefore, the total capacity of the hard disk displayed by the DVD Recorder will not be the
same as its nominated capacity.
