Kaleido-X16 with two serial devices:
If there are two serial devices
connected to a Kaleido-X16 multi-viewer and configured in XEdit, then swapping their
port assignments may result in a nonfunctional system.
Workaround:
If you need to reconfigure the serial port assignments for two devices in
XEdit, first disconnect both devices from the multi-viewer as follows:
1 In the
Interconnects
tab, click the link between the device and the multi-viewer,
and then, in the
Properties
pane, set the
RS-422 communication port
attribute to
“Disconnected”.
2 Save the system.
If you are using XEdit in offline mode, then export the database to the multi-viewer.
3 Set the new port assignment for each device, and then save the system again.
If you are using XEdit in offline mode, then export the database to the multi-viewer
once more.
