6 Starting operation

6.4 Configuration of the LioN-P

PROFINET I/O modules in STEP 7

Diagnostics or diagnostics levels can be enabled or disabled in the General

Diagnosis Settings folder.
The figure shows the default setting.

Attention:

"Report U

Aux

supply voltage fault" is disabled in the default

setting, to avoid diagnostic messages due to switching the supply

voltage on or off later on.

Fail Safe Value (DO-Mode)

The device supports a failsafe function for the channels used as digital

outputs. During configuration of the devices, the status of the outputs can be

defined after an interruption, or loss of communication on the PROFINET IO

network.
The following options can be selected:

Set Low - the output channel is disabled and/or the output bit set to

Set High - the output channel is enabled and/or the output bit set to

Hold last – the last output state is kept.
