6.1 GSDML file
A GSD file in XML format is required to configure the LioN-P modules. All
module variants are grouped in a single GSDML file. This can be downloaded
from our homepage
www.beldensolutions.com/en/Service/download_center/index.phtml
On request, the GSDML file is also sent by the support team.
The GSDML file and the associated bitmap files are grouped in the archive
file named
GSDML-V2.3x-LumbergAutomation-LioN-P-yyyymmdd.xml
.
yyyymmdd
stands for the date on which the file was issued.
Download this file and unpack it.
In
Step7
you create a new project and open the hardware manager
"HWConfig". The GST file is installed using the menu command
Options

Install station description files (GSDML)
... and the subsequent dialog.
The LioN-P/-R I/O modules with PROFINET interface are then available in
the hardware catalog.
The GSDML file contains all PROFINET device variants for the LioN-P family
of devices, including devices not described in this manual.
6.2 MAC addresses
Every module has three unique MAC address assigned by the manufacturer
that cannot be changed by the user. The first assigned MAC address is printed
of the module.
