The EL314x analog input terminals measure input currents from 0 to 20 mA. The EL3142-0010 has an input
current range from -10 mA to +10 mA.
The significantly faster conversion time and support for distributed clocks enable use in time-critical
applications and set them apart from the EL30xx series.
Overcurrent is displayed not only in the process image, but also by an error LED for each channel.
In the EL3141/EL3142, the 0 V power contact is the reference potential for the inputs.
In the EL3144, the inputs are implemented in 2-wire technology and have a common, internal ground
potential, which is not connected to the power contacts.
