Problem
Possible Cause
Scanner does not turn on.
Battery pack is depleted.
Battery pack or A/C adaptor
not properly connected to
scanner.
Probe not properly connected
or not connected at all.
Probe damaged.
Remove battery pack and
replace with a fully charged
battery pack.
Verify that power source is
firmly connected to back of
scanner.
Verify that probe is properly
connected to scanner.
Attach different Site~Rite IV
Probe and power on. If
scanner functions, return
probe for repair. If scanner
does not function, return
scanner for repair.
Solution
A/C adaptor is not properly
attached to an outlet.
Verify that the A/C adaptor
is properly attached to a
functional outlet.
The Battery Pack is defective.
Replace the Battery Pack.
