11 2 1 Mounting location requirements
The receiver must be tightly bolted to the vehicle!
To achieve the broadest range possible, the ideal mounting
location is at the rear of the vehicle.
Avoid mounting in completely closed metal housings to
ensure the unhindered emission of the antenna.
Avoid mounting in direct proximity to other wireless
systems or other electronic devices that could cause EMC
faults.
Avoid mounting in places directly exposed to atmospheric
conditions.
Select a mounting location so that a vertical installation
(cable gland downwards) and cable infeed from below are
possible.
When using the external antennas, damage from stripping
branches is to be avoided. Attach the external antenna so
that it does not protrude over the vehicle. To ensure unhin-
dered emission, no metallic parts may be located near the
antenna.
