7-10-2 removing Jammed Cards

To prevent injury, make sure that the machine is not in operation before opening and closing the IC
card vendor.
z z
before removing a jammed card, make sure that the IC card vendor is not in opera-
tion.
z z
After removing a jammed card, be sure to close the reader unit of the IC card vendor
securely. If the reader unit is not closed, cards cannot be dispensed properly.

Use the supplied service key to open the service door. (See “7-5 Opening and Closing the Service
Door” on page 30.)

pull out the IC card vendor slowly. (See “7-10-1 Adding BANApASSpOrT Cards” on page 69.)

Open the reader unit of the IC card vendor, and remove the jammed card and any foreign objects.

If dust or a foreign object other than a card is stuck, remove it thoroughly and clean
the inside of the reader unit. (See “7-10-3 Cleaning the IC Card vendor” on page
72.)

Close the reader unit of the IC card vendor securely.

Firmly push in the IC card vendor all the way, and turn the knob lock 180 degrees in the clockwise
direction to lock the IC card vendor in place.
z z After locking the knob lock, pull lightly on the IC card vendor to make sure that the IC
card vendor is securely locked in place.

Close the service door and lock it with the service key.
