(5)  replacing the Center boss

Turn off the power switch. (See “7-6-1 Turning the power Switch On” on page 31.)

remove the shift (6-speed MT) assembly.
(refer to “8B-3-5 (1) removing and Installing the Shift (6-Speed MT) Assembly” on page 139.)

Disconnect the two connectors, open the cable clip and remove the two snap-in fasteners. (See 
step

 of “8B-3-5 (3) replacing the Micro switch” on page 141.)

Remove the eight flange socket bolts (M4 x 6) and separate the outer and inner parts. (See step

 of “8B-3-5 (3) replacing the Micro switch” on page 141.)

Disconnect the connector of the micro switches on both sides.  (See step

 of “8B-3-5 (3) 

replacing the Micro switch” on page 141.)

Remove the two flange socket bolts (M4 x 6) and two flange socket bolts (M4 x 30) and remove 
the inner cover. The slider at the tip of the lever has a built-in spring, so be careful not to allow 
the slider and spring fly off when removing the lever.
