The following table shows the different equipping variants of the system. It
should be noted that a MAGIC ISDN unit must always be equipped with an
Interface Unit.
REMARK The individual plug-in units (PCBs) have a slot coding that pre-
vents insertion into the wrong slot. The PCBs should never be
inserted forcibly, since this could damage the multipoint con-
nectors.
2.3.1 Additional options for transmission at higher data rates
In networks operating at higher data rates (e.g. X.21 to 1920-kbit/s), MAGIC
can be used to transmit several high-quality audio signals simultaneously. A
number of MAGIC system units can be cascaded for this purpose (maximum
