Selection of the network interface
The MAGIC ISDN Audio Codec offers the operator two types of network inter-
face. However, only one interface type can be active at a given time. The net-
work interface should be selected to meet the particular requirements.
The following is an overview of typical applications for the different network in-
terfaces of the MAGIC system:

Connection to the data network
The selected network interface should be connected with the transmission
equipment in accordance with the interface pin assignment (see Appendix for
the pin assignments). When the So interface is selected, care is to be taken
that the connections are in numerical order. That is, in every case, ISDN No.
1 must be connected. Should a 4 B-channel connection be required corre-
spondingly, the ISDN No. 2 interface is connected.
