DMNG PRO Overview
This section aims to present the DMNG PRO to the on field users and to people in charge of
configuration and maintenance, called studio technicians throughout this user guide.
Designed for on field users who should be focused on the video content they produce and
not on their equipment, the DMNG PRO is very easy to use thanks to its user-friendly
touchscreen. You can use the DMNG PRO with most professional cameras since it supports
HDMI, HD-SDI and composite video sources.
The DMNG PRO offers three main functions:
Live:
Streaming a live video
Store:
Recording a video file
Forward:
Forwarding a video file
In order to make the use of the Live and the Store functions easier, the DMNG PRO comes
with preset profiles for each of these two functions. Moreover, on field users can configure
basic settings via the touchscreen, including configuring network interfaces and studio
profiles. However, to set up the DMNG PRO and configure the advanced settings, studio
technicians have to access the Web configurator, the on-line configuration tool. For more

In addition to its three main functions, the DMNG PRO offers the possibility to record a video
on an SD card while streaming a live. This function, called
, allows video
recording with the highest video resolution possible according to the video source, whereas
the video resolution adopted for live streaming only depends on the networks performance.
The
, which is an optional function, allows the audio communication between the
Studio and the on field user. To use this function, a microphone and headphones must be
plugged to the DMNG PRO.
Once set up, the DMNG PRO is readily on-air given that it detects the available networks and
automatically adapts the video resolution to the network performance for live streaming,
thanks to the automatic video resolution mode, and to the video source for recording.
