Managing Live Profiles
A Live profile is a set of parameters mostly related to video and audio encoding. Be aware
that the audio and video encoding settings are crucial to the transmission reliability and
affect the quality of the video received by the DMNG Studio.
The DMNG PRO comes with two preset Live profiles: INTERVIEW and QUALITY. From the Live
tab of the Web configurator, you can configure up to fifty Live profiles and delete profiles
provided that there remains at least one live profile.
General Guidelines on Live Profiles
In order to configure the Live profiles most suitable to your requirements and to the
networks conditions, you have to consider and balance several factors:
the types of links used for streaming the video, in order to determine the output
mode (i.e. the transport protocol), the bonding mode and to help to decide the bi-
trate mode,

your main constraint:
o
Low latency
Streaming a video with a very low latency implies high bandwidth.
o
High video resolution
Streaming a high resolution video implies high bandwidth and stable network
conditions.
o

tings that influence the transmission reliability.
