Configuring a BGAN Terminal
You can configure Hughes 9201 and Explorer 710 BGAN terminals automatically directly from
the DMNG PRO. Please note that if your BGAN terminal is an Explorer 710 with a software
version 1.04, please refer to the document
Configuring an Explorer 710
available on our
Extranet.

Click on

Click on "Profile".

Click on "BGAN".

The BGAN profiles configuration page appears.
You can then add a BGAN profile for the Live or the Forward function.

Click on to add a BGAN
profile.

Enter a name for the new profile.

Check your terminal configuration to
know if you need to modify the
preset IP address.

Select the type of terminal:
Hughes_9201, Explorer 710 or
Hughes_9211.

Enter the following data provided by
your satellite telecommunication
provider:
o
APN
o
Username
o
Password

Select a mode from the list according to the data plan subscribed to (the available
BGAN modes depend on the type of terminal selected):
o
The X-STREAM mode is recommended for live streaming.
o
The BACKGROUND mode is recommended for forwarding.
o
HDR_HALF_ASYMMETRIC
o
HDR_HALF_SYMMETRIC
o
HDR_FULL_ASYMMETRIC
o
HDR_FULL_SYMMETRIC

You can now connect the terminal to the DMNG PRO Ethernet 1 interface
configured in DHCP mode using an Ethernet cable.
