PERSONALISING YOUR MYSTAR
MyStar offers a number of features that enable you to personalise your MyStar experience.
■
You can choose the dimensions of the screen – based on if you have a widescreen etc
■
You can change the resolution of the HD output to align to the specifics of your TV
■
Choose if you’d like the TV Guide and Planner applications to be transparent or not
■
Activate closed captions (subtitles) when they’re available
■
Set favourite channels for quicker navigation to these channels
■
You can set up a personal PIN number to manage your household’s viewing habits
To do all of this, you need to access the MyStar Settings menu.
Personalise the way you use your TV Guide and Planner
Transparency background
Set your preference for how the TV Guide and Planner appear on your TV screen. The transparent option allows
you to continue viewing the current program you’re watching while you use your Planner or TV Guide. Alternatively,
the solid option removes the program you’re viewing from the background. With either option, you will still hear the
channel audio.
To change your TV Guide background:

Access the TV Guide by pressing the
button on your MyStar remote control
■
Press the
button to access ‘TV Guide Preferences’ (see figure 34) on page 43
■
Highlight your preferred Transparency option by using your
and
arrow buttons.
There are two options to choose from – Transparent Background and Solid Background.
