Danger of clamping and crushing!
Window closes automatically !
During closing and opening the drive stops via its integrated
or external load disconnection (depending on version of drive).
Consult technical data for compressive pressure.
During assembly and operation, do not reach into window
rabbet or moving opening element such as chain or spindle.
Compressive force is in any case sufficient
to crush fingers if inattentive.
Crushing and shearing points between window casement and
frame, light dome and curb must be secured up to an installation
height of 2,5 m (lower edge element) through devices which
stop any motion upon touching or interruption by personnel and
thus prevent any and all injuries.
Assembly and operating instructions
for proper assembly, installation and maintenance by a skilled and
safety-conscious electrician and / or experts specialized in electrical
and mechanical drive assembly.
Read and adhere to the specifications in the assembly instructions,
adhere to the prescribed steps in the right order and keep these in-
structions for later use (maintenance). Safe operation and avoidance
of damages and danger is only possible through careful assembly
and adjustment in accordance with these assembly instructions.
Check all given dimensions on site and make adjustments as
necessary.
Adhere exactly to the given connection pin assignment,
, allowed drive voltage (see specification plate), minimum
and maximum power values (see technical data). Also
adhere exactly to assembly and installation instructions.
Never connect 24 V DC drives to 230 V power supply. !
Danger to life !
Spare parts, fastening and control units
O
perate drive only with control units from same manufacturer.
No liabilty, warranty or servicing when using third party products. Use
only original spare parts / fastening material or add-ons from the
manufacturer.
Area of application
Suitable only for automatic opening and closing of window types
listed in assembly instructions. Consult manufacturer or authorized
distributor about further applications. Always check to ensure that
your system is in accordance with valid regulations. Pay particular
attention to opening width, opening cross section of window,
allowable installation dimensions, opening time and opening speed,
force effect, temperature stability of drive / equipment and cables as
well as connection line dependency on line length and current con-
sumption. Necessary fastening material must be appropriate for
drive and expected load - augment as necessary.
Protect all components permanently from dirt and humidity
in as far as the drive is not explicitly suitable for use in
humid areas (see technical data).
Cable routing and electrical connection
may only be carried out by an licensed specialized company. During
installation, all relevant DIN and VDE regulations must be adhered to.
VDE 0815 Installation cables and lines.
VDE 0833 Alarm systems for fire, burglary and hold-up.
Decide on cable types in coordination with responsible local authori-
ties, power companies and occupation cooperatives. Pay particular
attention to the following:
Route all low voltage lines (24 V) seperately from high voltage lines.
Do not plaster in flexible lines. Freely hanging lines must be equipped
with tension relief.
Lines must be routed in such a manner, that they cannot be
sheared, twisted or kinked during operation.
Junction boxes and external drive control units must be accessible
for maintenance work. Cable type, line length and line cross section
must be in accordance with technical specifications.
For maintenance and repair, it must be possible to discon-
nect all 230 V components from the main power supply.
.
After installation
and any change in configuration, check all functions via trial run.
After the system is ready for operation, the end user must be briefed
on all important operational steps. As necessary, he must also be
advised of remaining risks and dangers.
Maintenance and changes
Prior to each maintenance or change of configuration (e.g. drive
replacement), an all-pole disconnection from the power supply and
back-up batteries must take place.
Regular maintenance (for SHEV systems at least annually by law) by
an authorized specialized company is a prequisite for long-lasting
functionality and safety of drive.
Operational readiness must be checked on a regular basis.
This is also recommended for a pure ventilation system.
Remove any dirt from drive during maintenance.
Check fastenings and terminal screws for firm seating.
Conduct
trial run for opening and closing procedure.
The drive itself is maintenance-free. Defective equipment may be
overhauled only in our factory. Use only replacement parts of the
manufacturer. A
is recommended.

Declaration of incorporation
Equipment has been manufactured and tested in accordance with
European directives. The respective declaration of incorporation is
on hand. Drive may be operated only if there is also a declaration of
conformity on hand in line with the machine directive.
During use: Bottom hung windows
require the inclusion of safety scissors or similar devices. They
prevent damages and danger to personnel that can
occur through improper assembly or operation.
Please note: safety scissors must be synchronized
with the drive opening stroke (see technical data).
That means that the opening width of the safety
scissors must be greater than the opening width of
the drive stroke to avoid blockage.
