6-6-7. Humidity Sensor Alarm
If any trouble should occur to the humidity sensor or
the relative humidity in the incubator should remain
below the selected level by 5% or more for three hours,
a humidity sensor alarm message will appear and the
relative humidity display will go blank. At the same
time, power supply to the heater will be shut off.
At this time the alarm lamp on the display/control
panel will flash, and an audible alarm will sound
during humidity control. If another alarm should be
occurring at the same time, not the message but the
alarm mark will appear.
Action to take
: The humidity sensor should be regarded as faulty.
Alarm reset
: The alarm cannot be reset unless the humidity sensor is repaired and the normal
condition returns.
6-6-8. SpO2 High/Low Limit Alarm
If the SpO
2
high/low alarm limit is violated, an
appropriate SpO
2
alarm message will appear and an
audible alarm (
“
pip pip peep pip pip
”
) will sound.
At this time the SpO2 display will flash as well as the
alarm lamp on the display/control panel.
If another alarm should be occurring at the same time,
not the message but the alarm mark ( for the
upper limit alarm, for the lower limit alarm) will
appear.
Action to take
: Check that the patient’s respiratory condition has not deteriorated.
Alarm reset
: The audible alarm can be silenced for two minutes. The alarm will stop if the
detected SpO
2
has returned to a normal value within the period.
6-6-9. Pulse Rate High/Low Limit Alarm
If the pulse rate high/low alarm limit is violated, an
appropriate pulse rate alarm message will appear and
an audible alarm (“pip pip peep pip pip”) will sound. At
this time the alarm lamp on the display/control panel
will flash as well as the pulse rate display.
If another alarm should be occurring at the same time,
not the message but the alarm mark ( for the upper
limit alarm, for the lower limit alarm) will appear.
Action to take
: Check that the patient’s respiratory condition has not deteriorated.
Alarm reset
: The audible alarm can be silenced for two minutes. The alarm will stop if the
detected pulse rate has returned to a normal value within the period.
6-6-10. SpO
2
Sensor Alarm
If a wire of the SpO
2
sensor or the patient cable has
broken, the connector is faulty, or the sensor has been
removed intentionally from the connector, an SpO
2
sensor alarm message will appear and an audible
alarm (“pip pip pip silence pip pip pip”) will sound.
