(3) Performance Test
Equipment required:
An oxygen flowmeter and an oxygen analyzer are required in order to confirm oxygen supply.
(Preparation)
1. Connect the skin temperature probe to the skin temperature probe connecting port 1 on the
sensor module, and place the probe 10cm above the center of the mattress surface.
2. Put an appropriate volume of water in the humidity chamber, and install the humidity chamber
in the main body.
3. Operate the power switch to activate the unit.
4. Set the relative humidity to OFF.
5. Set the oxygen control function to OFF.
(Skin Temperature Control)
6. Set the temperature to 36.0
℃
in the servo control mode.
Check:
(1) Does the numerical value on the skin temperature display stabilize at 36.0±0.5
℃
?
(Incubator Air Temperature Control)
7. Set the temperature to 36.0
℃
in the manual control mode.
Check:
(1) Does the numerical value on the incubator air temperature display stabilize at 36.0±1
℃
?
(Oxygen Control)
8. Supply oxygen from the oxygen supply port 2.
9. Switch on the oxygen control function.
10. Carry out the 21% calibration procedure.
11. Set the oxygen concentration to 40%O
2
.
Check:
(1) Does the numerical value on the oxygen concentration display stabilize at 40±2%O
2
?
∗
) After checking, switch off the oxygen control function.
(Oxygen Supply)
12. Use the oxygen flowmeter to supply oxygen at 10L/min from the oxygen supply port 1.
Check:
(1) Use the oxygen analyzer to measure the oxygen concentration. Is the measured concentration
65%O
2
or higher?
∗
) After checking, stop supplying oxygen.
(Humidity Control)
13. Set the relative humidity to 90% RH.
Check:
(1) Does “90%” RH appear on the relative humidity display?
(High Temperature Alarm)
14. Turn the power switch off. Then, while pressing and the alarm silence/reset switch, turn
on the power switch. The high temperature alarm check function will start.
∗
) The high temperature indicator flashes on the lower right portion of the screen.
15. Set the temperature to 36.0
℃
in the manual control mode.
Check:
(1) Does a high temperature alarm occur when the incubator air temperature has reached 37.5 ~
38.0
℃
?
16. Set the temperature to 38.0
℃
in the manual control mode.
Check:
(2) Does a high temperature alarm occur when the incubator air temperature has reached 39.5 ~
40.0
℃
?
(End of the Test)
17. Turn the power switch off.
