IF THERE IS NO PRESSURE:
- the pump does not deliver fluid or the fluid returns to the tank and is not conveyed to the
control functions.
Solutions:
◘ The fluid returns to the tank and is not conveyed to the components, check the adjustments of
the pressure limiters.
IF THE PRESSURE IS LOW OR ERRATIC:
-
fluid cold
- viscosity incorrect
- air intake or restriction in the inlet hose
- poor running of a pump
Solutions:
◘ The fluid is cold, start the system and build up the temperature by positioning the jib at end of
travel for several minutes.
◘ Operate only at recommended running temperatures.
◘ The fluid viscosity is incorrect, replace the oil by the grade oil recommended by the
manufacturer. Please refer to the "Lubrication" section.
◘ There is air intake or restriction in the inlet hose, locate and repair the leak.
◘ The running of a pump is erratic, check the internal condition of the latter. Reassemble if its
condition is acceptable by preferably changing the seals. Replace the pump if necessary.
IF WEAR IS EXCESSIVE:
- abrasive contamination or dirt in the fluid
- fluid viscosity too low or too high
- pressure high above the maximum capacity of a pump
- air inlets or restrictions causing cavitation
Solutions:
◘ There is abrasive contamination or dirt in the fluid, determine the cause of the contamination.
◘ Change the filter and repair or replace the worn parts. Empty the circuit and fill with new oil of
recommended grade.

◘ The fluid viscosity is too low or too high, replace by the recommended fluid. Please refer to the
"Lubrication" section.
◘ The operating pressure is too high, check the running of the pressure limiter. Adjust if necessary.
◘ There is an air intake or a restriction in the suction system, eliminate the cause of the cavitation.
