From bath (16 steps)

After bathing, open the drain.

Fold forward the hand rest-handle arm in
front of resident.
Make sure the resident is in an upright
position in the centre of the seat with his
or her:
•
buttocks at the back of the seat,
•
back against the back rest and
•
hands on the hand rest.

Lean the resident forward and fold the
back rest-handle arm behind the resident.

Secure the safety belt.

To separate the
Alenti
seat from the bot-
tom of the bathtub, lower the bath to its
lowest position.

Start the shower and allow the resident to
feel the water temperature by hand
before directing it on the resident.

Shower the resident.

Dry the resident and place towels to keep
him or her warm and comfortable.
10 Make sure that the resident is in an
upright position in the centre of the seat.

WARNING
To avoid falling, make sure that
the resident is positioned cor-
rectly and that the safety belt is
being used, properly fastened
and tightened.
WARNING
To avoid resident falling out of
the device, make sure that the
arm rest are folded down during
transfer.
11 Raise
Alenti
to a position where the seat
clears the edge of the tub rim.
Shower the resident's feet and dry them.
Also dry the underside of the seat, to pre-
vent water from dripping on the floor
when moving the
Alenti
away from the
bath.
Help the resident to move his or her legs
over the tub rim while rotating the
Alenti
away from the bath.
(See Fig. 3)
Make sure
Alenti
is completely clear
from the bathtub and other devices to
avoid undesired contact between these.
15 Lower
Alenti
until the resident’s feet are
in contact with the chassis.
16 Make sure to disinfect
Alenti
after each
use to prevent cross-contamination
(see Fig.4).

To avoid the resident from falling,
always ensure that the device is
in the lowest possible position
before attempting to transfer,
dress or undress the resident.

WARNING
To avoid entrapment or pinching
of genitals, make sure there is
enough clearance during move-
ment over the tub edge, toilet,
bedpan or other furniture.

WARNING
To avoid the device in use from
tipping, do not raise or lower
other equipment close to it and
be aware of stationary object
when lowering.
