ARGUS 152
When the TDR function starts, it is in the
measuring range in the status display. You
can set the range (x) and the gain (y) in
the measuring range. If you have hidden
the measuring range in order to work with
the cursor or zoom, you can restore it:
<Menu>
or
Pulse width (5):
You can configure the width of the pulse
that ARGUS outputs to the line.
Width:
The pulse width sets the duration of the pulse ARGUS outputs to the line in nanoseconds
(ns). The default value is
452,8 ns
, but you can increase this up to 12000 ns (12 µs)
depending on the measuring range. Just like a more powerful pulse, a longer pulse con-
tains more energy, and thus is generally more suitable for use on longer lines. However, a
longer pulse can also conceal important reflections, which can then no longer be correctly
interpreted.
