3 General

The AQ-M210 motor protection IED is a member of the AQ-200 product line. The hardware and

software are modular: the hardware modules are assembled and configured according to the

application's I/O requirements and the software determines the available functions. This manual

describes the specific application of the AQ-M210 motor protection IED. For other AQ-200 series

products please consult their respective device manuals.

AQ-M210 offers a modular motor protection and control solution for small and medium-sized motors.

There are up to four (4) option card slots available for additional I/O or communication cards for more

comprehensive monitoring and control applications. AQ-M210 communicates using various protocols

including the IEC 61850 substation communication standard.
