Troubleshooting the Loop Connections.
Specific transmitter loop connections vary with each installation, but
in general are connected in a similar manner to the typical transmitter
loop in Figure 4-1.
When troubleshooting the loop connection, verify the following items.
·
Loop devices are wired in series.
·
There is at least 250 ohms total loop resistance.
·
There is at least 19 Vdc available for the transmitter when a loop current
of 4 mA is flowing.
·

1. Modem will operate from 32º F to
122º F (0º C to 50º C). It can be
stored from -40º F to +185º F (-40º C
