4.5 Boom kinematics function group (Profi-folding / Flex-folding)
4.5.1 Automatic boom ride
The automatic boom ride is available in the ContourControl and Dis-
tanceControl versions
Automatic boom ride: DistanceControl on / off
WARNING
Risk of injury due to accidental movement of the sprayer boom
in automatic mode when stepping into the area scanned by the
ultrasonic sensor.
Switch off automatic boom ride

Before exiting the tractor.
•
If unauthorized persons are in the area of the sprayer boom.
WARNING
Electrical current poses a hazard if the boom comes into contact
with a high-voltage line!
Turn off boom ride at least one meter in front of a high-voltage pylon.
The ultrasound sensors detect approach to obstacles, and they can
lift the boom uncontrolled.
It is possible to use the functions of manual boom ride to intervene in
the automatic boom ride by pressing and holding the button.
Afterwards, the boom ride continues to be regulated.
If distance sensors for automatic boom guidance are disturbed due to
the folded-in booms, these sensors must be deactivated (Profile
menu).
