Reject Bin
Reject Bin – Vision Feeder
Function:
Provides a position on the vision feeder for reworked component to be dropped off.
Action:
A message is presented to the operator to empty the reject bin. The vision system moves until
the reject bin is under the nozzle. The nozzle moves above the reject bin (approach height). The nozzle
vacuum is turned off (vacuum off delay). Low pressure air (use blow-off air) is applied (delay before
depart) to enhance component/o-ring separation. The nozzle moves away from the reject bin (depart
height).
Task Properties:
Reject Bin Tool Height (mm):
Sets height of reject bin. Note: The reject bin tool motion is based on
the nozzle height, component thickness and reject bin tool thickness. Incorrect information can result in
damage to the machine and/or component.
Approach Height (mm):
Distance from component to reject bin.
Vacuum Off Delay (sec):
Time nozzle vacuum is turned off after approach height is reached.
Use Blow-Off Air:
Activates air pressure through nozzle vacuum o-ring/vacuum cup before nozzle
retracts. Uses blow-off air delay before depart (sec) time setting.
Delay Before Depart (sec):
Time from component drop off to nozzle movement away from reject bin.
Depart Height (mm):
Distance nozzle travels after going to reject bin and vacuum/pressure functions
are applied.
Notes:
It is advised to use tray provided to insure molten solder/solder balls do not dislodge/drop onto universal
insertion tool or on the assembly.
If component sticks to nozzle o-ring/vacuum cup increase delay before depart time and use blow-off air
to assist in separation.
