Chapter 4: Software Overview

Object:

X: Defines component width (mm). Dimension is applied to camera view
(corner and edge) during component alignment in vision.

Y: Defines component depth (mm). Dimension is applied to camera view
Note: Reducing the x and y object dimension will shift the corners of object dur-

ing alignment viewing which may provide viewing of a larger corner area.

Z-Height: Defines component height (mm).

Nozzle:

Z-Offset: Defines nozzle height in relation to 66 mm standard nozzle. For exam-

ple, the standard EZ nozzle measures 62.5 mm. The offset is –2.50 mm. The

standard site cleaning nozzle is 70.0 mm. The offset is +4.00 mm.

Board:

Z-Height: Defines the board height. If the board does not rest on the carrier, i.e.,

assembly has a frame and board is raised, then, the height of the board in rela-

tion to the board carrier edge supports is the z-height dimension.

Critical: Object and board z-height and nozzle z-offset are used in cal-
culation of z-axis movements. It is critical not to input undersized pa-
rameters.
