3.5.8 Drive on Slopes
Before starting the procedure
WARNING: Risk of Injury.
On a slope always eject bales in a direction to stop them rolling down the slope.
Procedure
1.
With a large swath: drive as shown in Large Swath. With a small swath, first drive on the side to
make sure that the intake of the swath is on the higher side of the pick-up.
2.
After some material was picked up, continue as shown in the chapters before.
3.
Before you eject the bale make sure that you drive in a direction to stop the bale rolling down the
slope.
3.5.9 Dry, Brittle, Smooth Crop Material
Before starting the procedure
If the material is not collected, for example when you move from one swath to the subsequent, dry and
brittle or smooth crop material can fall from the bale chamber on the ground. In that case:
Procedure
1.
In 10 seconds or less after the intake stops, disengage the Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft.
2.
Engage the PTO shaft immediately before the crop material is collected up again.
3.5.10 Transfer a Bale
Before starting the procedure
DANGER: Risk of electrocution.
Avoid a collision between the tailgate and a power line, do not start wrapping and
automatically open the tailgate near electrical high - voltage lines.
WARNING: Risk of injury.
Do not start wrapping and automatically open the tailgate when persons or blockage are
in the area of the tailgate.
To move the bale to the wrapper, the tailgate must be open.
Procedure
1.
Make sure that it is safe to open the tailgate, there are no persons in the area and no power lines
near. Make sure that the bale cannot move and cause injury to persons.
2.
If automatic transfer is "ON", the move starts automatically.
3.
If manual bale transfer is "ON", you must push and hold the button
to start the move.
4.
The tailgate closes and locks automatically. A short signal sound, tells that the tailgate is closed,
locked and the net knife is in position for the subsequent bale. The display will show a closed tailgate.
5.
When the bale moves to the wrapper and the tailgate closed, you can start driving and pickup
material to make the subsequent bale.
6.
